Lavender Lemonade
Lavender lemonade—a refreshing, lightly floral, tart drink best served iced on a hot summer day.
- 6 lemons
- 6 c water
- lavender sprigs optional garnish
Lavender Simple Syrup
- 5 tbsp fresh or dried lavender
- 1.5 c sugar
- 1.5 c water
Step 1: Make Lavender Simple Syrup
Boil 1.5 cups of water and 1.5 cups of sugar in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved, then add 5 tablespoons of fresh or dried lavender.
Simmer for 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat. Let the mixture steep for 20 minutes, then strain out the lavender.
Step 3: Mix and Chill
In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, all of the lavender syrup, and 6 cups of ice cold water. Stir well.
Refrigerate until chilled.
Serve over ice and garnish with a slice of lemon or a sprig of lavender on top of the glass.
